Desiree Francis BA
The Alberta Family Wellness Initiative
At the Palix Foundation, Desiree Francis is a Program Associate with a focus on community engagement and relations for the AFWI network. Before joining the Foundation in 2013, Desiree worked in the health and wellness industry for more than 10 years. Her education and training took her abroad to work in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, which resulted in a secondary passion for travel. Upon her return to Canada, Desiree played an integral role in opening a new not-for-profit recreation facility in Calgary, where she led a large staff team as the Aquatic Director for two years. Desiree attended the University of Lethbridge and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2006.
