Resilience, Stress, Research Programs

June 2025

The HERO-CAN Study is a pan-Canadian research initiative led by McGill University in partnership with the Universities of Calgary, Lethbridge, and British Columbia, exploring how young children respond to stress. By collecting biological and behavioral data across multiple sites in Canada, the study aims to identify early markers of risk and resilience. Its findings will help inform pediatric care and support early intervention strategies rooted in the science of child development.
