Serena Jenkins

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Serena Jenkins is a Scientific Advisor to the Palix Foundation. In this role, she consults with the Palix Foundation Scientific team on key projects and initiatives and offers content expertise. She holds a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge, where she examined the impact of positive and negative preconception maternal experiences using rodent models. Serena is also a Health System Impact Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary, co-funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Alberta Health Services (AHS). She is the Project Manager for the ACEs Hub, a knowledge platform that catalogues all the original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses conducted on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) since 1998. As a Fellow, Serena will lead the integration of ACEs Hub into the healthcare system with the goal of shifting health policy and practice. Serena enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
